Play Therapy
Play therapy is a therapy modality that uses play to help children communicate, express their feelings and solve problems. It is based on the idea that play is the natural way for children to express themselves and that, through play, they can work through their emotions, experiences and challenges in a safe and supportive environment.
In play therapy, therapists use toys, board games, art materials and other play activities to interact with the child and expand the child's “vocabulary”. The child may be encouraged to use these materials to create stories, act out roles, or engage in imaginative play. The therapist observes and interacts with the child, helping the child to express thoughts and feelings, develop coping skills and healthier ways of dealing with difficulties and resolving conflicts.

Who is the target audience?
This type of therapy can be especially beneficial for children who have suffered:
- Traumas
- Anxiety
- Depression
- Behavioral problems
- Developmental disorders
but it is not limited to children and can also be beneficial as an intervention when working with adults.
